Great Kindness Challenge Week

Alamosa Park students and staff will be joining several schools and school districts across California by participating in the Great Kindness Challenge (GKC) during the week of January 26th – 30th.

The GKC promotes a safe and caring school environment and will include multiple activities that will foster a consistent, positive message throughout our school and community. Alamosa Park students will be performing as several acts of kindness by following a checklist of the different ways they can be kind to others. Students will be engaged in kindness activities, lessons and projects during their art class time, such as, creating a chain-link of kind words, developing a kindness tree, and the posting the “hands of kindness” chain.

Here is the list of the Great Kindness Challenge Spirit Days at Alamosa Park:

Monday – January 26

“Great Kindness Challenge Kick-Off Assembly”

Tuesday – January 27

“Dream of Kindness Pajama Day” – Wear Pajamas to school.

Wednesday – January 28

“Team-Up for Kindness Day” – Wear athletic or sports attire.

Thursday – January 29

“Tied-Together by Kindness Day” – Wear ties from home or the ties created at school.

Friday – January 30

“Peace, Love & Kindness Day” – Wear School Spirit Attire.

Technology has Arrived

Why do we fundraise? Why do we need volunteers to be a part of the PTA and the Foundation? To enhance the educational experience at Alamosa!! 30 iPads and 44 chromebooks being split up and delivered to the classes today-thanks to the donations from the hawk run and hard work of the foundation! Support our parent groups! Your child will benefit!

Every child has a unique log in.

Just click the link above, click on the penguin's belly and your child can enter their picture ID to get started.  Students should spend a minimum of 20 minutes per session on ST math.

When you want to exit the program click the red arrow in the lower left corner of the computer screen.  Continue to press the red arrow until you are taken to a summary screen. From there click the red X and you will see a bubble rise to the top.  That means you are logged out and your work has been saved. Avoid exiting the program in the middle of an activity.
